Board of Directors Candidates
We had five Lake Limerick community members submit their Declaration of Candidacy for the vacant Director position on the Board. Each candidate is listed below in alphabetical order by last name.
Marlo Brown (DIV 01)
Michael Florence (DIV 03)
We have had our property here for 15 years and have recently retired here full-time. My career history includes 7 years in the USMC, 8 years at Boeing in software and electronics, 15 years working for Paul Allen reaching VP level and managing budgets of more than $100M. I then worked for a consulting company, owning development of large web sites for companies like Adidas and CBS Sports. I finished off my career at T-Mobile managing ecommerce software development, again with budgets in the tens of millions.
We plan on living at this location for the rest of our lives and as such, we feel a responsibility to participate in the communities success.
Thank you for your consideration.
Jerry Heinlen (DIV 02)
Please find attached my Declaration of Candidacy for filling the open position on the LLCC Board. In the interest of providing a little background on myself, my family and I have been part of the LLCC community since 1973, and my wife, Pat, and I have owned our current place on St. Andrews Drive for nearly 19 years. We enjoy many activities at Lake Limerick and regularly utilize the golf course, parks, lake, Inn, and pro shop. I am still engaged in my working career, which spans over 35 years in business at all levels in public, private and family-owned companies ranging from as few as 10 employees to as many as 1,500. I’ve served on a number of boards both as a volunteer and in a professional capacity, and I believe both my longstanding involvement at Lake Limerick and my experience will enable me to make solid contributions to LLCC members as a board member.
Thank you. I look forward to discussing this with you and any board members who would like to contact me in advance of the November 20 BOD meeting.
Regards,
Jerry
Steve Pierce (DIV 02)
My wife and I are new residents to Lake Limerick. I currently serve as the elected Fire Commissioner for Central Mason Fire & EMS (District 5).
I believe my background qualifies me to support the boards efforts to maintain and further develop the infrastructure we rely on here in the Lake Limerick Community. My particular interest is in grant resourcing and acquisition to support our reconstruction of the hydrant water system.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Steve Pierce
Mitch Robinson (DIV 01)
I would be honored to join the Lake Limerick Board of Directors representing the interests of our members. I believe my previous board background, my work experience, but most importantly the passion I have for our community and improving communications would make me a good candidate to consider.
As a previous board member/president of the non-profit, independent Grand Cinema in Tacoma, I worked hard to blend theatre operations with the fun and excitement of a local non-profit showing great films at a reasonable price.
I also had the privilege to be the chair and a long-time board member of the North Slope Historic District in Tacoma. I am proud of what our board did in my era including obtaining non-profit status and putting on a variety of fun programs for all ages.
My work background includes being an early employee at Expedia, Zillow and the chief marketing officer for a national real estate brokerage. I thrive on marketing, communication and developing employees to find their own personal success.
Recently, I joined the Inn committee and have attended multiple board meetings since my wife and I bought a home here 15 months ago. I think where I could help most is in accelerating and looking for new ways to communicate with our members. At the same time, I believe we must make strategic decisions for the short and long term benefit of our community. And I always try to do it with a smile on my face. I look forward to having the opportunity to be one of many that dedicates themselves to the life we all love at Lake Limerick.
