Message From LLCC Board of Directors – Posted 3/14/2022 @ 10:00am
March 14, 2022
Dear Community Members,
Following the resignation of our board president, Brian Smith, the Lake Limerick Board of Directors would like to update you on a few matters.
Our volunteers, board members and committees will continue to move forward in making our community a great place to live. Our board meeting on March 19, as usual, will include updates on plans and events. We’re especially excited to see so many members eating at the Inn, as we get past what has been a rough 2 years for so many of us.
With regards to elections and our new vacancy, our bylaws state that when an officer (in this case, president) leaves, the board elects a new officer from the board to replace that person. We anticipate that taking place at our next board meeting. Because our general board elections are in April, that person will serve for a short time. After that election, the board will again elect all officers (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer).
We also now have a board vacancy. According to our bylaws, “…the board shall appoint a successor in a reasonable amount of time.”
Finally, a word about Brian Smith. Brian has been a dedicated volunteer, serving in numerous roles on behalf of our shared community. The list of accomplishments is long, and his leadership during these past 2 years is especially notable. We thank Brian for his dedication and years of service.
As a board, we believe this is a good time for reflection. Simply put, we can all do better. With restrictions fading away, this is a great time for us to come together and assume the best intent for and by all. As board members, we are dedicated to seeking input and making strategic decisions for the betterment of the community. We ask that community members show grace for each other, our volunteers and employees. We invite you to take the opportunity to meet each other in person at our upcoming events to enjoy conversation, find common ground, and be in the community.
Sincerely,
John C. Ingemi – Vice President, on behalf of
The Lake Limerick Country Club Board of Directors
