Fire Hydrant Plastic Bag Removal

Per the request of the LLCC Water System Committee, the Board of Directors has approved the removal of the black plastic bags on all fire hydrants. This does not change the hydrant fire-flow status but will eliminate what many consider an eyesore.
All bags are scheduled to be removed during the week of April 10th. All hydrants will have tops and caps painted black as weather and time permits. This will inform all emergency personnel, local and regional, that the hydrants are not to be used.
