What is Socrates Café?
It is a gathering of people interested in examining philosophical and ethical questions by challenging commonly held beliefs, dogmas, theories, and convictions using critical thinking and the Socratic method or Socrates debate. (Named after the Greek philosopher, Socrates, this is “a form of cooperative argumentative dialogue between individuals, based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to draw our ideas and underlying presumptions.”)
