Held annually on the weekend closest to the Fourth of July, this cherished tradition marks the official kickoff to summer while celebrating Independence Day in true Lake Limerick style.
The festivities begin Saturday morning with a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Pro Shop Café—a perfect way to fuel up for the day ahead. At the same time, early risers can enjoy the excitement of the morning waterski competition, showcasing local talent on the lake.
By 10:00 a.m., the community gathers for a lively and colorful parade. Expect to see creatively decorated golf carts, bikes, cars, and even festive walkers as they make their way through the neighborhood in a display of patriotic spirit and community pride.
After the parade, the celebration continues at the Inn, where a variety of fun activities await. Highlights include a hole-in-one golf competition, a putting challenge, and friendly games of cornhole. The snack shack will be open, serving crowd favorites like hot dogs and the much-loved strawberry shortcake—always a hit on a warm summer day.
As the sun sets, the festivities move to the water with a beautiful boat parade on the lake. With boats decked out in red, white, and blue, it’s a spectacular sight that captures the heart of the holiday weekend.
