2025 Fishing Derby Winners and Photos

🎣 Fishing Derby Overview

  • Date: April 25, 2026
  • Time: Fishing runs from 6 am to 1 pm, with weigh-in at the LLCC Inn.
  • Fees: $14 online or $15 per in person (per person) – applies to both children (15 & under and adults (16 and over).
  • Prizes: $800 total prize money
  • Children’s Gifts: Any child with a derby ticket may check-in at derby headquarters by 1 PM for a special gift
  • Raffle Drawing: Raffle drawing of prizes donated by members and location businesses
  • Silent Auction: Auction of unique items donated by members and local businesses (highest bid wins)
  • Food and Drink: Breakfast at 8:30 am ($14/Adults, $7/Children 10 & under); Lunch at 11:00 am ($6/All Ages); Drink Specials available during breakfast and lunch ($4)

🐟 Lake Fishing Info

  • Lake size & access: Covers ~132 acres with public boat launch, parking, pit toilet  .
  • Target species:
    • Rainbow trout (spring stocking)
    • Largemouth bass, yellow perch (summer/fall)  
  • Stocking history:
    • ~7,800 trout of 0.44 lb average stocked in April 2024  
  • Fishing quality:
    • “Good to very good” trout in spring
    • Good bass and perch later in the year  
    • Anecdotal reports: some largemouths near 10 lbs
